Frequently Asked Questions

Do we offer manual Lessons?

No, we only offer Automatic Lessons.

How can I make payments to you?

You can pay via Bank Transfer, Paypal or cash. (Paypal will also let you use a credit card but may charge a fee for that service).

What happens if I can't make a lesson?

Cancellations within 24 hours incur the full lesson cost. However due to COVID-19 you can currently cancel on the day without charge. We would ask that you give as much notice as possible for any cancellation and if the cancellation is within one hour of the planned time a £10 fee will be deducted from any refund.

What happens if you cancel a lesson?

There are various unexpected reason that may force an instructor to cancel a lesson. This may be a result of things like unforeseen traffic jams, tyre issues, accident etc. We will give as much notice as possible and will reschedule the lesson for a time that suits both the instructor and pupil.

What is Pass Plus?

Pass Plus is a practical training course that takes at least 6 hours and is for drivers to improve their skills and drive more safely.

It can be taken at any time although it should be most useful to new drivers in the year after passing their test.

How are the block bookings split up?

The block bookings are a bank of hours that can be allocated to lessons in time blocks between 1.5 hours up to the fully allotted bank (time permitting). You can use them in any form that suits you best. note: some restrictions may apply to the use of block booking hours so always check with your instructor.

What about the test costs?

The Theory test costs £23 and can be booked here: https://www.gov.uk/theory-test

The Practical test costs £62 and can be booked by me during one of your lessons whilst we are in the car.

In addition to the £62 test fee there will also be a charge of £100 for a 2.5 Hour lesson if you wish to use the LGG car for the test. This covers the period before the test, the test itself and the drop off.

Are there any other costs?

There should be no other costs. However if you would like online training to assist with your theory test this can be provided by LGG for a one off £10 charge. This is optional but feel free to enquire if you think this is something you would be interested in.
